Security tightened in Raj ahead of I-Day

The state level independence function will be organised at Sawai Man Singh stadium here on August 15.

Additional personnel have been deputed in different parts of the city, in and around the stadium to ensure that no untoward incident occurs, police said.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also said that the security measures across the state have been intensified.

"Advisory from central security agencies keep coming and the government pays attention to all such advisories. In view of the Independence Day, the security in the state has been tightened," he told reporters here.
