"China must shun its policy of aggressive expansionism in order to make a peaceful Asia and obviously, a world of better co-existence," Former Assam IGP S P Kar said here yesterday while delivering a lecture on "Impact of Emerging China on Northeast India."
He slammed the reported Chinese nuclear policy of targeting India and facilitating anti-Indian elements to weaken social fabric.
However, the IPS officer at the same time warned the policy-makers in New Delhi against a 'tit-for-tat' approach in the face of reported provocations by the Chinese army on the Indo-Tibetan border.
Kameng Ringu, senior political analyst and chairman of Peoples' Party of Arunachal, projected the wretched condition of Arunachal's border people.
He said, "because of lack of infrastructure and pathetic road conditions, they are under-fed and under-educated."
The lecture conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Charitable Task was attended by various scholars, eminent personalities and political party leaders.
