Shiv Sena MLA Subhash Desai today produced two 'fake' ration cards in name of Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh and his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Akhilesh Singh Yadav in the Legislative Assembly, alleging that holders of such bogus documents are cornering benefits meant for the needy reeling under severe drought.
During the ongoing debate on drought in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Desai waved the 'fake' ration cards which he said were prepared in Nashik.
"When the state is reeling under drought, such bogus cards are being prepared to snatch ration from the needy people", the MLA said.
He said the ration cards have photographs of the two chief ministers and listed their respective family members as dependents.
