Sharada Peeth is an abandoned temple located in the Sharda village along the Neelam River near the Line of Control. It was a major centre of learning, regarded as one of 18 highly-revered temples throughout south Asia.
The matter will be raised at appropriate level for starting pilgrimage from Jammu and Kashmir to theSharda Peeth, the basic seat of learning of Hindus, now is PoK, Minister of State for cultural tourism said at a function organised by Kashmiri pandits here.
The Minister was speaking at the foundation day function of an organisation of Kashmiri Pandits working for the promotion and preservation of rich heritage and culture of the community.
"The government is committed to extend every support to help the displaced Kashmiri Pandits to preserve its rich heritage and culture," Sethi said.
