Seven IAS Officials transferred in Bihar

Bihar government today transferred seven IAS officials including Patna Divisional Commissioner Anand Kishore who has been made the new chairman of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna.

Kishore, a 1996 batch IAS officer, was holding additional charge of BSEB, Patna.

A notification issued by General Administration Department said Arun Kumar Singh has been transferred from Water Resources Department as Principal Secretary and made the Development Commissioner of the state.

Singh will continue to hold additional charge as Principal Secretary of Vigilance Department and Director General of Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development, Patna.

Tripurari Sharan, the Principal Secretary of Environment and Forest Department, will be the new Principal Secretary of Water Resources Department.

Education Department's Principal Secretary R K Mahajan has been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs Department.

Similarly, Health Department's Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar will hold the dual additional charge of Principal Secretary of Cabinet Secretariat Department and Member Secretary of State Advisory Committee.

Robert L Chongthu, who is currently Secretary of Education Department, has been made the new Divisional Commissioner of Patna, the notification said.

Mithilesh Mishra, who is holding IG Prisons in Home Department, has been given additional charge of Director General of Prosecution, Bihar, Patna till further orders.

Except the transfer and posting of Anand Kishore, Robert L Chongthu and Mithilesh Mishra, all other transfers will take effect from August 31, 2018, the notification said.
