The Indian School Players League Talent Hunt (ISPLTH) was launched by SGFI here.
The SGFI will deploy a talent scouting team, under whom youngsters in the 12-18 age groups will undergo trials at talent hunt camps in 16 States.
The selected youngsters will then represent their respective states in a school cricket league which will be held at Dubai International Stadium.
On this occasion, Mr Rajesh Mishra, Secretary-General of SGFI, and Chairman of Khelo India, Technical Committee,under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, said, "The ISPL is our first major initiative with the private sector to offer a grand platform for cricket at the grass root level, especially for youngsters in remote areas and underprivileged background."
