The former union minister will also open a three-day national seminar organised by the university on subject 'Yashwantrao Chavan and Modern Maharashtra' to be held on the varsity campus from March 12-14, a YCMOU press release issued here said.
Sikkim Governor Shriniwas Patil will also attend the seminar on the concluding day while state water resource minister Girish Mahajan will attend functions of the inaugural day.
Vishakha awards, constituted by the university, will be presented to poets - Arun Naik from Ratnagiri district, Balika Dyandev from Pune and Jalgaon's Dr Asmita Gurav on March 12. Pune's Prerana Sahane will be honoured with Rukumini Award, the release said.
