"There is an ample scope for development of religio-cultural tourism sites into live spaces in the state," he said.
Sub-mountain regions along Shivalik hills fall in SAS Nagar, Rupnagar, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot and Gurdaspur districts and projects to develop these areas as tourism destination would be undertaken.
Tourism in Punjab will not only attract tourists from within the country and abroad but also attract investors and hence increase revenue and economic growth, the spokesperson added.
Besides, there would be 14 member committee of the Board.
