Home shopping platform Shop CJ is targeting up to 40 per cent increase in turnover to Rs 1,200 crore this fiscal as it works on expanding its distribution network in more cities across the country.
"We are looking at 30-40 per cent increase in our total turnover this year to Rs 1,150-1,200 crore. We are working on reaching out to more customers by expanding our distribution reach," Shop CJ Network CEO Kenny Shin told PTI.
The company reported sales of Rs 850 crore in the previous financial year.
"We have plans to establish a warehouse in the eastern India to cater to east and north-eastern states such as Assam, Nagaland, West Bengal and Bihar," He said.
The company, which gets 6 per cent of its total revenue from online and mobile app channel, is looking at doubling it by end of this financial year, Shin said.
In April this year, the company changed its name to Shop CJ from Star CJ after the exit of broadcast major Star from the venture.
The broadcast major has been replaced by Providence Equity Partners after Star decided to focus on its core business of general entertainment and sports channels
In June last year, Star India exited its equal partnership in e-commerce portal Star CJ Network by offloading its stake to Providence Equity Partners for an undisclosed amount.
Apart from web and app, Shop CJ is also available on DTH platforms like Dish TV, Tata Sky, Airtel and Videocon.
