"We have realised that there is a big market for refurbished products. Two months back we started with selling Unbox mobile phones, We have seen 100 per cent month on month growth. We expect to sell Rs 100 crore worth refurbished smartphones in 3-4 months," ShopClues AVP Nitin Kochhar told PTI.
He said that ShopClues has entered into an agreement with companies owning product to offer six month warranty on them.
The Unboxed range of smartphones that ShopClues is selling encompasses brands like Samsung, Asus, Lenevo, Xiaomi and OnePlus etc.
"More brands will be launched under this category in the coming months buoyed by its high popularity and demand. Unboxed products are neither defective nor previously used. This category simply refers to items that were returned to the seller for reasons such as dispatch of the wrong model," Kochhar said.
