Shriram Capital appoints Laddha as new MD and CEO

Shriram Capital (SCL) today announced appointment of Rajesh Laddha as its new managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO), effective July 1.
Currently, Laddha is the chief financial officer of Piramal Enterprises.
Piramal Enterprises holds an effective 20 per cent equity stake in Shriram Capital and an equity stake of approximately 10 per cent each in Shriram Transport Finance and Shriram City Union Finance.
"This appointment marks a new era in our growth as well as deepens our partnership with our long term investors, including the Piramal Group," Shriram Group founder R Thyagarajan said in a statement here today.
Laddha was also part of the core team at Piramal Group that was involved in the purchase of its strategic stake in Shriram Group companies.
"With the country at the cusp of an economic transformation, I believe that this is an exciting time for Shriram Group. I look forward to leveraging the Group's core strengths in retail lending and insurance businesses to accelerate strategic growth opportunities," Laddha said.
Laddha has vast and diverse experience in the fields of corporate finance, M&A, business strategy, investments, corporate structuring and taxation.
