Silver idol stolen from Jain temple in Udaipur

A silver idol and other valuables were found stolen from a Jain temple in Udaipur district of Rajasthan, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday at the Digamber Jain temple in Karavali village under Salumber tehsil, Nathmal, ASI Salumber police station said.
According to him, the incident came to light when people visited the temple this morning.
They (people) found its lock broken and the silver idol of Lord Mahaveer and other items like throne missing, he said, adding that an FIR has been registered and investigations are underway.
