"The Nanu phone app can operate seamlessly on 2G networks, and function on ultra-low bandwidth, utilising only 105 kb of data per minute, compared with other apps which consume between 875 kb and 740," said Martin Nygate, Founder and CEO of Gentay Communications.
"A year ago, we promised the end of phone bills for everyone, everywhere. We are progressively continuing the movement towards that by launching version 2.0 of nanu," assured Nygate.
"We are committed towards building a better future for people living in lesser developed areas of emerging economies like India. In such areas a few rupees in savings on phone bills can make a huge difference in people's lives," he said.
Most of the phone call costs are covered by advertisements, played over the ringtones during call connect processes using the firm's specially designed technology.
"Our aim is to empower people and give them the ability to make free phone calls from and to anywhere in the world, irrespective of whether they have 3G connectivity or not," said Nygate.
