"A two-member SIT comprising assistant excise superintendent S Srinivas Rao and an excise inspector has been set up," excise enforcement director Akun Sabharwal said.
Excise officials had conducted raids across Hyderabad and Secunderabad over the week-end and seized 700 'squares' of LSD, each costing Rs 3,000 and worth Rs 21 lakh in total, and 35 grams of MDMA (also called 'Ecstasy') worth Rs 1.4 lakh.
Three alleged drug peddlers -- Abdul Quddos who works for a private firm, Abdul Wahab who is a student, and Calvin Mascrenhas, a small-time musician -- were arrested.
