Due to price rise, corruption and unemployment, situation in the country has gone out of hand, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal claimed today and said Narendra Modi is the only alternative before electorate.
Badal accused the UPA government of failing on all fronts.
"Narendra Modi is the only alternative before the electorate in the country as the Congress-led UPA government has decisively failed on all fronts," Badal told reporters here on the sidelines of annual conference of Association of Medical Biochemists of India.
The chief minister claimed that "the country is not safe at all in the hands of Congress."
"Situation in the country in respect of price rise, corruption and unemployment has gone out of hand," the chief minister said.
"The UPA government has miserably failed on the issue of internal as well external security of the country," he said. "How many times we will try a government that had been tried again and again?" the veteran Akali leader questioned.
Badal also attacked the Congress over the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Before levelling charges of fanning communalism on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Congress must explain its own position in respect of anti-Sikh riots, he said.
"It has been established beyond doubt that it was the Congress and its leaders who engineered the entire violence against a particular community in 1984," he alleged.
