Six hurt in clash between 2 communities over petty issue

Altogether 33 persons were arrested in connection with the clash that began over a petty issue.

Women of a family slapped a boy belonging to another community after he tore a pumpkin plant. The boy then returned home and complained to his family members, the sources said.

A large group then returned and assaulted the family leading to a clash. A group of policemen who came to control the situation was also attacked.

Altogether six persons, including two police personnel were injured in the clash.

Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel was deployed in the area and 33 persons were arrested, the sources said.
