Sixth accused in Burundi student attack case surrenders

"Harsh Gosain, son of a businessman, surrendered today and was taken into custody," Jalandhar's Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sarvjeet Singh said.

Yesterday, police had arrested another accused Amarbir Bajwa and also issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against an accused, Jaskaran Singh alias Jassa, who flew to Australia on a student visa.

Another accused Romi Uppal, son of a SP rank officer, and Amandeep Singh, son of a bank officer allegedly involved in the attack are currently in police remand.

There were about 10 persons who attacked 23-year-old Nihangaza on April 21 and he continues to be in a state of coma for the last two months in a private hospital.
