SLC officials said the executive committee would meet tomorrow in an emergency session, after the expected quitting of Farbrace, who is thought have to become the new deputy coach of England.
Farbrace, who coached Sri Lanka to success in the recent World T20 after having two stints as the national team's assistant coach previously, succeeded Graham Ford as the head coach at the end of last year.
SLC incurred Farbrace's severance fee with English country Yorkshire to enable him to take up the Sri Lanka job. He was preferred by the SLC over Marvan Atapattu -- the current batting coach of the national team.
SLC, in a statement said that its efforts to contact Farbrace had failed and it was kept informed by the ECB about his interest in England's deputy job.
