Sikar was the coldest place with minimum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius, which was about one degree below normal.
Due to fog in neighbouring states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, seven trains of North Western Railway were running late from 1 hr 50 mts to 8 hr 15 mts and passengers were seen waiting on platforms, its CPRO Tarun Jain said.
Hawarah-Sriganganagar train is running late by 8 hrs 15 mts followed by Sealdah-Ajmer, Gorakhpur-Hisar, Hawara-Jodhpur/Bikaner, New Tansukhia-Lalgarh by over 3 hrs 30 mts, Bareli-Bhuj by 2 hrs, and Allahabad-Jaipur by 1 hr 50 mts, he said.
No major change in present winter season is expected in the state in next 24 hours, a forecast said.
