Sundernagar recorded a maximum temperature of 38.2 degrees Celsius followed by 37.2 and 36.5 degrees Celsius in Nahan and Bhuntar respectively.
The temperature rose marginally to 34 degrees Celsius in Solan followed by 33.3 degrees Celsius in Dharamsala and 28.9 degrees Celisus in Shimla. Kalpa recorded 25.2 degrees Celsius.
The rise in temperatures triggered fresh forest fires in Tara Devi forests with the Forest Department officials claiming these were ground fires caused by burning of dry pine needles and would subside.
The MeT Department has predicted dry weather in the region over the next five days.
Una had recorded the highest temperature at 42.8 degrees Celsius in the state yesterday.
