The Jammu and Kashmir government is planning to start SMS services for the tourists, through which they will be informed about various places of interest in the state, besides other relevant inputs.
After the service is launched, visitors will get instant messages as soon as they enter the state, Tourism Minister Ghulam Ahmad Mir said in the Legislative Council today.
The government also intends to promote religious tourism in the state and the process to identify such tourism hotspots is on, Mir said, adding that a report in this regard will soon be submitted to the Centre.
