Train services on the corridor, which connects west Delhi's Rithala to east Delhi's Dilshad Garden, were hit around 12.15 pm due to an OHE (overhead wire) snag between Kashmere Gate and Shastri Park stations.
Repair work was completed around 1.10 pm but by that time trains had gradually halted across the 24-km-long corridor, with the down line going towards Rithala being the most affected.
A commuter, who was travelling from Jhilmil station to Kashmere Gate, said after being stranded for over one hour, she was forced to take a cab.
Yesterday, technical glitches had hit the metro hard, that too twice during the day, piling on the woes of people battling waterlogging and the consequent traffic congestion across the city.
The affected corridors were Blue Line and Violet Line.
