Snapdeal ropes in Airtel Money CEO Govind Rajan

Airtel Money CEO Govind Rajan will join e-commerce company Snapdeal as its Chief Strategy Officer next month.
The e-commerce firm today announced the appointment of Rajan to the role of Chief Strategy Officer, effective August 2015.
Rajan had been heading the mobile commerce service of telecom major Bharti Airtel since last one year and is currently serving notice period at the company.
At present, Rajan is serving as Chief Marketing Officer (B2C) at Bharti Airtel, where he is responsible for revenue and market share growth, customer life cycle management, and building marketing capability across the organisation and concurrently he is also serving as CEO - Airtel Money.
Rajan is third senior official from Bharti Airtel to join Snapdeal within a span of three months.
In April, Airtel's head of contact experience, Jayant Sood left the telecom major to join Snapdeal as Chief Customer Experience officer, followed by Airtel's Chief Product Officer (CPO) Anand Chandrasekaran.
Rajan has over 17 years of experience in customer life cycle management and marketing capability, Snapdeal said.
Before Airtel, Rajan worked with Hindustan Unilever (HUL), where he was the regional Vice President South Asia for skin cleansing and prior to that, Vice President for the skin care business.
He also served as the customer marketing and sales operations head of HUL.
