Geiger, 27, broke the news on Instagram in response to a fan question and said that he has been discussing about transitioning with his family and friends.
"I am transitioning... I started talking about it with a couple of my close friends and family about a month ago and it's given me the courage to start the process.
"I feel like the next step is to tell you all. Love it or hate it, this is who I have been for a long time," he wrote.
In 2013, he self-released "The Last Fears" through iTunes and Spotify.
