Soybean prices strengthened by Rs 27 to Rs 3,903 per quintal in futures trade today on accumulation of holdings by traders amid positive trend in global market.
Marketmen attributed the rise in soybean prices in futures market to increased bets by participants supported by a firm trend in the global market.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, soybean for the most-traded delivery in May contracts inched higher by Rs 27, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 3,903 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 1,42,810 lots.
Soyabean for delivery in April contracts also rose by Rs 25, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 3,829 per quintal with an open interest of 1,03,810 lots.
