"Our party wants a debate whether it is the coal issue or any other issue...," SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav told reporters outside Parliament House when asked about his party's stand on the coal block allocation issue.

Parliament was disrupted today with the opposition demanding resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the CAG report on the coal issue.

On his party's view on the promotion policy for SC/ST candidates, Yadav said, "The Prime Minister has convened a meeting on the issue and we will convey our party's stand in the meeting. Whatever we have to say we will say there."
