Mahajan said the Lok Sabha secretariat should strive to streamline its record management system in line with the best practices available.
Referring to common toilets in the Parliament House building, she said that common toilets were "not conducive to the privacy of individuals" and separate toilets should be provided for male and female staff as also for visitors to the building," a statement said here.
She also directed the secretariat authorities to assess the volume of work related to printed reports during the past ten years and evolve a mechanism to achieve the 'paperless office' goal.
