Congress MLA Abdul Sattar today lifted the 'Raj-danda' (mace) in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, inviting the ire of Speaker Haribhau Bagade.
"You are doing this again for publicity...you are doing this to see your name in newspapers. I will suspend you," a furious Bagade said.
Earlier, Sattar repeatedly sought permission to speak on the issue of Shivaji memorial in the Arabian Sea after Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis made a statement on it.
When the Speaker refused the permission, the MLA from Sillod lifted the mace.
After Bagade rebuked him, Sattar apologised.
The MLA had taken away the mace on July 17 too, during the ruckus created by Opposition over change in the design of the Shivaji statue.
