Shetti, whose party is a constituent of the NDA as well as a part of the BJP-led Maharashtra government, said he has undertaken 'Atmaklesh Padyatra' to "repent for supporting the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
The Lok Sabha MP from Hatkanangle, who started his repentance march from Pune last Monday, reached Panvel today. The march will end here on Tuesday.
"The government has not taken any concrete steps to ease the woes of farmers. It has deceived farmers who voted for the party (in the Assembly polls)," Shetti told reporters in Panvel near here.
