Thorpe, winner of five gold medals in two Olympic Games and clincher of 11 outdoor world titles, will be on the panel along with India's badminton ace Prakash Padukone, former Commonwealth Games women's shooting champion Anjali Bhagwat, ex-international hockey player Viren Rasquinha and swimmer Rehan Poncha, it was announced at a media conference here today.
The channel would show the Games, to be held from from August 5-21, round the clock on eight channels and the commentary will be in English and Hindi.
Star's video streaming platform "Hotstar" would also roll out between 14 and 36 'live' feeds, "free of charge", according to its CEO Ajit Mohan.
