Filmmaker Jon Favreau has revealed that the "Star Wars" live-action TV series will be set between the original trilogy (IV-VI) and the current trilogy (VII-IX).
Favreau, who is serving as the writer and producer on the series, told Nerdist that the show will look into events seven years after the Battle of Endor in "Return of the Jedi" and approximately a couple of decades before the events in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".
He also revealed that the show would feature all-new characters. Some of the new characters will be created using the same bleeding-edge motion-capture technology which he used on 2016's "The Jungle Book".
No premiere date, episode count or a title for the Star Wars project has been announced as of yet.
