A state-level athletics meet will be held under flood lights here on January 25 and 26, in which over 600 participants from various disciplines are likely to take part.
The competition will be held in about 77 track and field events for boys and girls in the under-8, under-10, under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18 age categories, it was announced.
The organisers will also conduct mixed (boys and girls) relay team races.
Talking to reporters, renowned coach V Govind Bal, who has produced several national and international athletes, said, "Cooler evening weather conditions will ensure better performances which could result in better timings."
