Student leader gunned down in Haryana

A student leader was allgedly shot dead today by two motor-cycle borne unidentified assailants over an old rivalry near the Badanpur village here, police said.
Dohanakheda resident Pradeep along with his father Chandra Singh and friend Kudlip was returning to his village in a car when two masked men, who were on a motor-cycle, opened fire at them, they said.
Pradeep died on the spot, whereas Singh and Kuldip escaped unhurt, police said.
A MA History student Pradeep was married on January 1, 2012.
DSP Rameshwar Lamba said that Pradeep had appeared as a witness in a murder case and received a death threat in this connection.
A case has been registered and the matter being probed, he said.
