Nand Kishor, posted at Shri Krishna Janmasthan to guard two shrines adjacent to each other, was found dead yesterday in his room, Alok Priyadarshi, SP (City) said.
His body was discovered after foul smell came from the room and blood started flowing, he said, adding, the body was partially stained with blood.
"Two team have been formed to find the truth and nab the culprits," the SP said.
Records show he had performed his last duty on Friday, Priyadarshi said, adding, the actual cause of death would be known after the postmortem report.
