Sultry weather in Haryana, Punjab; MeT predicts showers soon

Sultry weather conditions continued in most parts of Haryana and Punjab today.
Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius, even as high humidity levels prevailed here, MeT Department report said.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius, while that in Hisar was registered at 39.3 degrees Celsius.
Narnaul registered an identical maximum to Hisar at 39.3 degrees Celsius, the report said.
Karnal recorded a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius.
Amritsar in Punjab recorded a high of 38.1 degrees Celsius.
Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 35 and 36.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
According to the MeT forecast valid for the next five days, rain/thundershowers are likely at a few to many places in Haryana and Punjab.
