The arrested man Fulbar Hussain was working as a truck driver for the last two months, district Deputy Superintendent of Police Nyame Gowda said.
The arrest was made on the basis of inputs provided by the Special Operations Unit of Assam.
Hussain is facing several cases under various provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and IPC.
The accused was remanded to judicial custody till February 11 by a court.
