SVC directs SVO to probe substandard work in Jammu University

The State Vigilance Commission (SVC) today directed the vigilante to initiate a preliminary enquiry into the allegations levelled against two engineers of Jammu university for substandard work and misuse of official position to gain profit.
On the basis of a complaint, a verification was done in the matter following which the State Vigilance Commission has asked the vigilance officer concerned to initiate a regular preliminary enquiry intothe allegations levelled against the engineers Suresh Sharma and Akash Bhola, the spokesman said.
The verification conducted by the Commission has prima facie shown a nexus between the engineers and contractors, who in league with each other, have drawn payments for their personal gains, he said.
