It will be the first bilateral meeting and the highest- level exchange between India and the US after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Washington in June.
The meeting also comes ahead of Defense Secretary Jim Mattis's visit to India next week.
Swaraj is here for the 72nd annual session of the UN General Assembly. She is scheduled to address the world body on Saturday.
