Tata Steel launches two new innovative products

Tata Steel today said it has launched two new innovative products, offering a complete range of structural steel product to its vast customer base.
"We have launched two new innovative products, which are first of its kind in India. A high strength variant of steel hollow sections called Tata Structura 355, which has an enhanced yield strength and an additional variant with fire-resistance properties," Tata Steel said in a statement.
Tata Structura hollow sections are best known and preferred for their cost effectiveness, concentric strength, resistance to corrosion, convenience of fabrication and creativity. Architects and engineers prefer these structural tubes over others because of these strengths. They vouch for it as it facilitates a 30 per cent reduction in steel consumption as compared to conventional sections.
"Tata Structura has been one of the most dynamic and innovative brands launched by Tata Steel in the past decade. It has been instrumental in inspiring architects to realise their creative potential, aided engineers in offering cost-effective solutions and supported fabricators in completing projects on time," Tata Steel TQM & Steel Business President Anand Sen said.
"Tata Structura Steel Hollow Section is manufactured at state-of-the-art facilities which are accredited to global quality standards. The raw material is sourced 100 per cent from Tata Steel's steel manufacturing facilities," Tata Steel Tubes SBU Executive-In-Charge Subodh Pandey said.
"In the coming years, we will continue to introduce world-class grades and size range enabling Indian construction industry to design and execute globally renowned structures in India," he said.
While celebrating 10 years of success in the steel industry, Vineet Saraf, Chief of Marketing & Sales, Tubes SBU, Tata Steel said, "Tata Structura has played a unique role in creating a collaborative ecosystem which has facilitated the growing usage of steel in construction in India.
"The brand has been extensively used in the construction of airports, metro & railway stations, malls, IT & industrial complexes, thereby, transforming the skyline of urban India.
