The Over Head Electrification system developed some problems in Janakpuri area on the Dwarka-Noida-Vaishali Line at 9:15 AM, leading to the slowing down of trains.
Till 10:45 AM when the problem was rectified, trains were running slow and the frequency was decreased.
The services were not disrupted but trains were bunched with each one coming after every 10 minutes. Usually, a train arrives in every three to five minutes on the line.
Regular announcements were made at all the stations about the technical problem and delayed running of trains.
"It was chaos like situation in every stations. As the frequency of trains were less, the trains were overcrowded. Large number of people tried to get into the trains," a commuter said.
At the inter-changing station of Rajiv Chowk also, the scene was chaotic as a large number of people queued up.
