Tel CS for action plan in view of severe heat forecast

Telangana Chief Secretary SP Singh today asked officials to prepare an action plan to deal with severe heat conditions during upcoming summer season.
Singh, who held a meeting with senior officials, referred to the forecast that mercury levels are likely to hover around 45 degree Celsius, a state government release stated.
As per the release, 541 and 324 heat-related deaths occurred in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
