Telangana govt to launch app for electricity consumers

Telangana Government today said it will soon launch an Android app for the electricity consumers.
Energy Minister Jagdish Reddy said the app will enable the consumers check the particulars of their bill and make payment through debit/ credit cards or the net banking.
"The app would also inform the consumers about the power interruptions and necessary precautions to be taken during power cuts," the minister said in a press conference.
The Government had lined up power supply to the tune of 12,500 mw through various sources, and the last month witnessed 7194 mw power demand in the state against 6661 mw during the same month last year, Reddy said.
