Flooded with large number of requests, Railways has decided to continue with 16 temporary stoppages of various trains in the northern region for three more months beyond June 30.
Accordingly, all experimental stoppages including Sultanpur Kalaiwas, Barsathi, Suraj Kunda and Palam, will continue till September 30.
The decision on continuation of these temporary stoppages will be reviewed after three months based on commercial feasibility, a senior Railway Ministry official said.
He said the decision has been taken in view of a large number of representations received by Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda from the general public.
