Ten Durga idols of popular city pujas are being put up at an art gallery maintained by state-run Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority in Rabindra Sarobar area of the city.
The idols of last year's Durga Puja organised by 'Bhowanipore 75 Palli', 'Dum Dum Park' and 'Chetla Agrani' have already made their way to the renovated art gallery.
Seven Durga idols of this year, including those of 'Behala Friends Club' and 'Bakulbagan' were also being put up in the renovated enclosure, having modern lighting arrangements,
'Bhowanipore 75 Pally' secretary Subir Das said, "We had the brief to showcase the most representative idol at the gallery and we chose our last year's idol made of mahogany wood which was given to the gallery days before this year's puja."
