Test win a morale booster before tri-series: Coulter-Nile

Looking to take the winning momentum forward after clinching the unofficial 'Test' series against India A last week, Australia A pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile today said that the clinical performance has proved be a confidence booster ahead of the ODI tri-series starting here tomorrow.
Australia A clinched the two-match series 1-0 after a 10-wicket win in the final game against the Cheteshwar Pujara-led side and Coulter-Nile believes the team is battle ready for the ODIs as well.
"We are taking to the tri-series after a good win in the Test series against India. We have the confidence with us and in terms of cricket, all the boys are ready to go. We have prepared well enough for the tournament," said Coulter-Nile ahead of the tri-series opener against South Africa.

"All the boys in the team have tasted international success. Their skill levels are pretty good. We are not trying anything new. We concentrate on the basics and make whatever we got in us, we are hoping to execute them in the competition," he added.
As for roles of the spinners, he said, "Spinners were forceful in the Test matches. They are in top gear. Looking at the wicket, I think it is going to play spin and our bowlers have to work hard on it and also try reverse swing the ball. With Ashton Agar we have three options and I do not think we are lacking in spin department."

The likes of Agar and Steve O'Keefe did make life miserable for the India A batsmen in the final game and Coulter-Nile was not surprised.
"Agar has played Test cricket and we have 'Test' quality spinners in the squad. Indian boys are young and coming through but batsmen struggle against good spinners if they lack the basics."
On their focus in the tri-series, he said "We have experienced players like Callum Ferguson, who had played a Test match here in 2013 and Chris Lynn, who had played for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL, and Agar who has also played Test matches. Importantly, the team has benefited from sharing their Indian experience and learning from each other.
