The unauthorised lodge, which had 290 rooms, was situated at the picturesque Upavan Lake, a release from the civic body said.
Besides this, officials from the anti-encroachment department pulled down five bars, eight lodges, 25 dhabas (roadside eateries), 10 hotel sheds, 25 garages and 30 furniture showrooms during the day-long operation, it said.
A couple of days back, Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal had instructed his officials to act tough against encroachments and unauthorised structures.
Yesterday, the civic body had demolished 27 bars, 70 scrap shops, 17 car service centres, around 275 extended areas in front of shops and 25 garages.
