Thane District Courts Bar Association polls on Nov 19

Elections for the Thane District Courts Bar Association will be held on November 19 and brisk preparations are underway for the same, its office-bearers said today.
The polls will be held to elect members of the Managing Committee and the Association has invited nominations for various positions in the Committee, they said.
Those in the fray for the position of President are Prakash Bhosale, Prashant alias Appa Kadam, Rajey Gaikwad and Kochewad Trimbak, they said.
The office-bearers also said around 2,085 members are eligible to vote of which over a thousand are its life members.
"We have decided that fee for the nomination form is Rs 500 and the deposit ranges from Rs 1,000 to 5,000 (for various positions)," said an office-bearer.

The Association has also decided to collect a total of Rs 10,000 from the all contestants towards the expenses for polling and counting.
After polls, the new Managing Committee, will remain in office for 2 years from 2016 to 2018.
