Two others - a sales team leader and sales manager of the car show room - have also been booked in connection with the matter, Thane Anti-Corruption Bureau's Deputy Superintendent of Police Khanaiya Thorat said in a press release today.
He said Satnamsingh Balwantsingh Kalsi (38) had demanded Rs 13,000 for registration of the new vehicle purchased by the complainant - a Naval officer.
The aggrieved officer lodged a complaint with the Thane unit of the ACB which laid a trap and arrested the agent while he was accepting part of the bribe money of Rs 9,000 from the complainant last evening, the release said.
Offence under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act have been registered against the accused with the local police station, it added.
