'There should be no misuse of electric equipment'

Punjab government today issued instructions to all heads of departments to make sure that there was no misuse of electric equipments in offices of the state.

A spokesperson of the General Administration Department said it has been noticed that electricity equipments like air conditioners, computers, tube lights, bulbs and fans remained switched on in the offices of ministers, officers and another offices without the presence of staff.

Now, according to instructions all branch superintendent/ officers in-charge would have to ensure that these are switched off immediately as ministers or officers leave the office, he said.
