The company had posted a net profit of Rs 132.32 crore in the year-ago period, Thermax Ltd said in a filing to BSE.
The company's total income from operations during the quarter declined to Rs 1,293.18 crore as against Rs 1,508.36 crore in the year-ago period.
"The figures of the last quarter of FY 2015-16 and FY 2014-15 are the balancing figures between audited figures in respect of the full financial year and the published year-to-date figures up to third quarter," the company said.
Total income increased to Rs 5,636.12 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016 from Rs 5,427.44 crore for the year ended March 31, 2015.
The quarterly results on consolidated basis were not available.
In a separate filing the company said its board has recommended a dividend of Rs 6 per share for 2015-2016.
